Getting interviews and what to expect

A clear understanding of what you bring to an employer is crucial in today’s job market. With less employer based job security and people wanting to find increased fulfillment through work, we believe it’s important to take charge of your own career direction. In addition, a candidate who can demonstrate what they offer and where they want to head professionally, is stronger at interview than someone who has not taken the time to do this groundwork.

The majority of companies interview against competencies. Competencies are often soft skills which are difficult to assess from looking at a CV which deals more with the hard facts. Competency based interview questions measure candidates against competencies such as:
